Histoire

La société Peak Spirits, co-fondée par Ansh Khanna décide de lancer son 1er whisky, Kamet et pour cela il s’accompagne de la célèbre distillerie Piccadily en Inde. Le nom Kamet rend hommage au mont Kamet, le 3ème plus haut sommet de l’Inde situé dans l’Uttarakhand. Cette idée vient du 2ème co-fondateur Ken Fredrickson passioné par l’Himalaya depuis des années. En Inde, le perroquet indien est vénéré comme un diseur de bonne aventure, une partie importante de la culture des villageois d’Inde. Ce perroquet horne les bouteilles du whisky single malt Kamet.

Fabrication

Le whisky Kamet Indian single malt est issu d’une distillation à partir d’orge d’inde. il est ensuite vieilli en fûts de bourbon, de vin rouge français et de xérès..

NEZ :

Fruité et vineux, notes épicées du bois, de vanille, et de caramel.

BOUCHE :

Vif et épicé. chocolat noir et xérès.

FINALE :

Tannique et épicée.

ROBE :

Ambrée foncée.
